Random Pokemon Time Travel Thing.

Saw this post on the Pokemon subreddit.

You only really need to see this picture.

In case you don't want to visit either of those, all you need to know is as follows. Imagine if you went back in time, and battled your younger self now that you know a lot more about Pokemon.


That post made me want to write this very small thing:

A cold breeze chills the air. The sounds of battle themes & Pokemon cries echo through the night.

Jonny can hear the sound of a trench coat flapping at his window. He peeks out of his covers to find a man sitting at his window.

"Say kid, I heard you were a Pokemon trainer." asks the man. "I'M THE VERY BEST!" screams Jonny. "Shhh. You don't want to get grounded do you?" "No." Jonny responds.

"How about a battle kid?" "Sure!" says Jonny as he jumps out his bed.

He grabs his link cable & hands the other end to the man. As the mysterious man stands in the shadows, he reaches into his trench coat & pulls a Gameboy out of it's holster.

The two battle through the night. As they finish their 5th battle, the man places his Gameboy back in it's holster. He smiles as a tear slowly runs down his cheek.

"Hey mister. Why are crying?" ask Jonny. The mysterious man returns to window. The shining light from the moon lights up half of his face. Jonny notices the smile & smiles himself.

"You should get some sleep kid." He jumps out of the window. Jonny runs to see if he is okay but there is nobody in sight.

"Who was he?" Jonny asks himself.
